Sher-li Torrey is the Founder and Director of Mums@Work Singapore, a social enterprise she started in 2010 to support women in navigating work, caregiving, career transitions and entrepreneurship. Over the past 15 years, Mums@Work has grown into a community of more than 70,000 women, partnering employers to rethink flexible work, return-to-work pathways and inclusive hiring practices.
In 2016, Sher-li co-founded Career Navigators Singapore, which focuses on helping women return to the workforce through dedicated employer programmes, career coaching and reintegration initiatives. In 2024, Mums@Work expanded into Japan and Hong Kong, extending its work with women, employers and partners across the region.
Through Mums@Work and Career Navigators, Sher-li has worked with leading organisations across sectors to support women in career re-entry, flexible work and leadership transitions. A frequent speaker, trainer and media contributor on women, work and diversity, she has spoken widely on the evolving role of women in the workplace. She currently serves on national councils including the COMPASS Council under Singapore’s Ministry of Education and the Families for Life Council under the Ministry of Social and Family Development.

Soon Hyung is the Chief Operating Officer for Microsoft Singapore, where she leads business planning and performance management, drives sales operations, and oversees national initiatives for the subsidiary. Over the ten years she has spent with Microsoft, she has held regional and local roles across Singapore, Philippines, and Asia Pacific.
With a diverse background across functions, she has built go-to-market strategies for cloud and AI services, launched new productivity features in emerging markets, and operationalized governance frameworks and strategic performance levers. She has also partnered businesses, government, and NGOs in championing initiatives promoting inclusive skilling and Responsible AI.
Beyond her corporate role, Soon Hyung is passionate about empowering others through journeying together and sharing her voice as a mum of two – one who has also returned to work from earlier career breaks. As a certified yoga instructor and advocate for lifelong learning, she brings a unique perspective on leadership, purpose and navigating a meaningful career through different seasons of life.
