This beginner-friendly series will help you build confidence with the tools shaping today’s workplaces.
The Digital Confidence Series is a learning initiative by Mums@Work designed to help mothers and women exploring their next career step build confidence with the digital skills increasingly needed in today’s workplace.
As technology continues to shape how we work, many roles now involve tools related to artificial intelligence, data, and digital platforms. Through practical, beginner-friendly sessions led by industry practitioners, the series introduces these concepts in an accessible and supportive way.
The Digital Confidence Series will feature workshops on topics such as AI tools, data literacy, digital productivity, and emerging workplace technologies, helping participants better understand the digital landscape and navigate modern workplaces with confidence.

DIGITAL CONFIDENCE 101
AI & Data Essentials for the Workplace
Digital Confidence 101 is the first programme within the Digital Confidence Series.
This two-part programme introduces participants to two key areas shaping today’s workplace: artificial intelligence and data literacy. Through interactive workshops led by industry practitioners, participants will gain a practical introduction to:

Data literacy, including how organisations use data to inform decisions and communicate insights
The programme consists of two complementary workshops:

Together, these sessions provide a beginner-friendly introduction to the digital tools and concepts shaping modern workplaces. No prior technical knowledge is required.

WORKSHOP ONE
AI 101: Getting Started with ChatGPT
Facilitated by the team from OpenAI (ChatGPT)

This interactive session introduces the fundamentals of AI tools and how they can be used responsibly and effectively in everyday work and career situations.
Led by OpenAI’s Singapore & Southeast Asia team, participants will gain practical insights into how ChatGPT works, how it is used in workplaces today, and how individuals can begin using it confidently and responsibly.
The workshop focuses on practical, real-life applications relevant to career development and workplace productivity.

• Getting started with ChatGPT and its key features
• Best practices for writing prompts and getting useful responses
• Using AI safely and responsibly
• How AI tools are changing the way people work

Data 101: Building Data Literacy
Facilitated by the Data Hub, Bank of Singapore

This session introduces the foundations of data literacy and have a glimpse into what it means to be data literate and learn some tips and tricks on essential skills on how to communicate insights and improve business outcomes. The workshop will be led by professionals from the Data Hub team at Bank of Singapore, who work with data as part of their everyday roles.
Participants will gain practical insights into how data is used in real workplace environments, and why having a basic understanding of data is becoming an increasingly valuable skill across many industries.

Why this workshop is special
This session is taught by the Data Literacy & Governance team from Bank of Singapore who work with data in their everyday roles, offering practical insights into how organisations use data in real decision-making.
Bank of Singapore also supports the advancement of women through initiatives such as its Women’s Network, which promotes mentorship and professional development.
