This beginner-friendly series will help you build confidence with the tools shaping today’s workplaces.

As workplaces evolve with the rise of artificial intelligence and data-driven decision making, digital literacy is becoming an increasingly valuable skill across many roles. The Digital Confidence Series is a two-part programme designed to help mothers build confidence in understanding AI tools and data used in today’s workplace.

Through two interactive workshops led by industry practitioners, participants will gain a practical introduction to ChatGPT, AI tools, and data literacy, with examples relevant to career planning and everyday work.​ The sessions are designed to be accessible, practical, and beginner-friendly, using real-world examples to support career development and workplace productivity.​ 

No prior technical knowledge is required.

WORKSHOP ONE

AI 101: Getting Started with ChatGPT

Facilitated by the team from OpenAI (ChatGPT)

This interactive session introduces the fundamentals of AI tools and how they can be used responsibly and effectively in everyday work and career situations.

 

Led by OpenAI’s Singapore & Southeast Asia team, participants will gain practical insights into how ChatGPT works, how it is used in workplaces today, and how individuals can begin using it confidently and responsibly.

The workshop focuses on practical, real-life applications relevant to career development and workplace productivity.

Topics Covered:

• Understanding the basics of AI and how tools like ChatGPT work
• Getting started with ChatGPT and its key features
• Best practices for writing prompts and getting useful responses
• Using AI safely and responsibly
• How AI tools are changing the way people work

Data 101: Building Data Literacy

This session introduces the foundations of data literacy and how organisations use data to inform decisions and communicate insights. The workshop will be led by professionals from the Data Literacy & Governance team at Bank of Singapore, who work with data as part of their everyday roles.

 

Participants will gain practical insights into how data is used in real workplace environments, and why having a basic understanding of data is becoming an increasingly valuable skill across many industries.

This session is taught by the Data Literacy & Governance team from Bank of Singapore who work with data in their everyday roles, offering practical insights into how organisations use data in real decision-making.
